Rodney Belanger
General Manager, Chicago Rare
Rodney Belanger's journey into the service industry commenced over two decades ago with his initial position as a Doorman at Ottawa’s first boutique hotel in Canada. There, he had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the city's premier hotel operators, including Morgan’s Hotel Group and China Grill Management. His New York experience was enriched by working alongside celebrity Chef Todd English at the renowned Plaza Hotel and playing a crucial role in the opening of Trump Soho Hotel.
Seeking new challenges and growth, Rodney then transitioned to Miami to spearhead the opening of the first U.S. Nusr-et Steakhouse, diving into another dynamic and instructive environment. His career path next took him to Doha in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup, where he became a key member of the W Doha team.
Currently, he is the proud leader of the exceptional team at Chicago Rare located in the Four Seasons Resort and Residences at The Pearl-Qatar. Away from his professional endeavors, Rodney enjoys hiking, watching documentaries, running, and playing football.
